Ultimately, athletics at Cambridge help to complete the mission of our model of classical education, which is committed to the development of mind, body and character. Students learn the virtues of strategy, sportsmanship, discipline, respect for others, and personal responsibility, while learning the foundations of health and wellness that can be carried on throughout their lifetime.
Toward these ends, Cambridge offers 7 varsity sports spanning across three seasons (Fall, Winter, Spring). All varsity and junior varsity level teams compete within the Texas Association for Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) league at the 2A level. Cambridge offers 7 middle school level sports as well. These team compete in the IAA and also span all three sporting seasons. Though focused upon much more than simply a score, Cambridge athletes compete successfully at the district, regional and state levels, having earned recent state titles in basketball, golf, tennis, cross country and track & field, in addition to a national title in crew.
